Workshop Information
Bringing together the learning from both the 5 /7 Series Basic Techniques and Embroidery Day we will be making a fabulous large sewing bag. The day will involve machine embroidery and different sewing techniques, including circular stitching and appliqué.
Requirements:
Sewing machine/embroidery unit
foot 24
Canvas (available in the shop) 1m 20
Lining fabric 1m 20
Double sided fusible batting (available in the shop) 1m
Jumbo Hoop or equivalent if you are machine embroidering some of the flowers
Machine embroidery equipment (if using)
Scraps of fabric for the flowers
Bondaweb
Tear Away Stabiliser or Stitch & Tear
Varigated thread (we have used Mettler Silk Finish Variegated thread 9854- we have some in the shop)
You may want to make a three or four English Paper Piecing flowers using ¼” or ½” hexagon papers
You may want to prepare a number of circles with Bondaweb of varying sizes 1” 2” 3”
