During this 1 day workshop you will learn some of the techniques Janine uses with the images to appliqué, draw and write onto fabric. She will show you how, and help you, to draw, design and use the images to make a stitched picture quilt or you may want to make panels and use them to make place mats, pictures, cushions etc… Her printing, drawing and sewing style is very relaxed, easy and free and very quickly you will be able to achieve a lot.                                                                                                                                                                                                  All the drawings for this piece were drawn from life.
Those cycling from left to right were drawn in Copenhagen and those from right to left were drawn in Lund in Sweden.
There are many ways you can playa round with this, you can reduce the size of the cyclists and group them together, change the clothes to something spring. add baskets and flowers, stitch the bikes in bright colours and with simple amendments change the cyclists to men as well as women.
