Available Dates
Come and spend a day, hand stitching, at Cowslip learning and practicing creative mending. We will cover different types of repair and stitches, focussing on denim and woven fabrics ion the morning and knits and darning in the afternoon. There will be an introduction to mending for all abilities and a chance to get more creative for experienced sewers. You can bring a pair of old jeans or a jumper to work on but I will also provide fabrics to practice on which can be taken home.
Materials and tools will be supplied but bringing your own basic sewing kit would be helpful.
Mend, repair, stitch, darn, patch and get creative!
Requirements:
Basic hand sewing kit including needles, cotton, scissors, ruler, any temporary fabric markers or chalk pencil if you have it. Everything you need will be available on the day so don’t worry if you haven’t got everything.
