2 days to get well into the project, both quilts have full written instructions as it is impossible to finish in a weekend it is a a big applique project. Whether you do hand applique like me or use a bonding method, I love both these quilts and they have personal memories, you can adapt to tell your own story, you can change the colours and tell your own story.   This is a big project and possibly not if you are just beginning applique, but I will demonstrate all my template free techniques, stems and flowers etc

Requirements

Basic sewing kit to include small sharp scissors applique pins , fine applique no. 12 needles and aurifil 80 applique thread.

We can give specific fabric amount for either quilt, but you will need 2m pattern background for the Helford quilt plus big selection of greens and christmassy fabrics, I was lucky to have the housey fabric there will be something new this year.  Fabrics for the pirate boat, I use d a worn linen tea towel for the sails

Dandeliion

Quilt. 3m of a basic taupe texture, then a mass of scraps or fat quarters for the pieced backgrounds, then textured brights for tulips lillies , yellow for the dandelions, I was inspired by the Tilda Windy Days fabric but I took so long to finish we no longer have it , but some of you out there might have a collection.
