Make a delightful and unique centre piece for your dining room, kitchen, coffee, or even your picnic table, at times of celebration or to just cheer up the everyday. Decorate using appliqué rows of quaint Cornish cottages and cheerful bunting, this coastal inspired cotton runner embellished with fine stripe fabrics, spots and checks will bring a breezy look to your table or sideboard.
Match with napkins and placemats for a truly cottage style, ideal for both modern and classic styles, inside or al fresco dining!
 
Requirements::
You have the option of using an old table cloth which we can recycle 
or a linen or cotton background the right size for your chosen table (linens come in many colours & widths take care in choosing what you’d like).or if you want to make placemats* & napkins, enough to make as many you want.*Batting if you’re making placemats – optional
Bring a selection of fabrics the colour palette of soft muted tones (small checks, stripes, spots, plains & tiny prints work well), but you can go brighter if you wish.  These will represent roofs, windows, cottages, doors, etc.
Tiny pieces/scraps are ideal for the bunting flags.
Matching threads to go with the choice of your fabrics, as well as dark blue, dark grey or brown & a light grey for the main details.
Stabiliser (i.e. light or medium weight iron on Vilene), this piece should be large enough to back your runner or placemat.
Bondaweb or steam a seam (recommend at least a 1 metre, depending on the size of your piece less if making a placemat).
Sewing machine with an appliqué foot or darning foot and the ability to drop your feed dogs (please remember to bring along your sewing machine instruction book).
