Simple Summer Applique

The thought of balmy summer days, gentle colours, full blown roses. There will be several different versions of summer quilts and throws moving on from the washed and worn theme. Some quilts will have time consuming appliqué other quilts will include quicker fast piecing and either blanket stitch appliqué or raw edge appliqué. One quilt has large different colour squares with big flowers free stitched, then we have free quilted around every 1/4”  – this is an ideal way of learning to free machine quilt.  I also have Raggy Jo’s Summer house quilt which I have extended with applique daisies to make into a single bed quilt. or the winter house turns very nicely into a summer applique house with loose leaves.
