Seascapes

Come and create a small unique textile art seascape using appliqué and free motion embroidery. Bring some photos for inspiration or alternatively use samples and photos of mine to inspire you.
I will guide you through each stage of the process with demonstrations and hands on help.
Maybe finish off with a few beads or a bit  of hand embroidery, before I show you how to mount and frame your finished piece.
The piece itself will measure 4.5” x 4.5”
I will provide the following at a cost of £10 per person
~ large selection of fabrics and embellishments
~ Piece of firm tarlatan scrim backing fabric to stitch your design onto
~ Piece of adhesive mount board
~ White frame and mount
You will need to bring,
~ Sewing machine with instruction booklet if possible.
~ Compatible darning/free motion foot.
~ General sewing kit to include fabric scissors, small embroidery scissors, hand sewing needles and size 10 beading needles
~ Size 75 and 90 machine embroidery needles
~ Frixion pen 0.7mm
~ Selection of hand embroidery threads
~ Selection of machine threads either embroidery or sew all threads.
~ Reel of invisible thread suitable for use in a sewing machine (I would recommend either Monopoly or Gutermann)
~ Reel of White bobbin thread
Alison will have a variety of threads available if needed.
