Sacks and Stockings

A day to make a simple Christmas sack or stocking, several different designs will be available, with the emphasis on making it for a special person, it could be very traditional with the nativity or reindeer, hearts , cows, trees, but certainly bells and plenty of space!.  For speed bonded applique can be used and then blanket stiched or just red stitching on cream wool.   You could also pre – prepare a piece of crazy patchwork practising creative stitches on your machine or do it on the day.
 
 
 
• FABRICS A selection of festive red’s, greens, golds, white, plaids, checks, scrap            
bag, calico, any fabrics that are available to suit students’ colour scheme. I really like plaids checks
and oldy looking but you don’t have to be the same. 1m in total.
• BASIC SEWING KIT To include pins, needles, sewing threads, paper and fabric scissors, pens,
pencil, ruler, stuffing, and beads, stars, baubles, bells, buttons, decorative threads, rustic twine,
or ribbons. Rotary cutting kit if available.
• CARDBOARD OR TEMPLATE PLASTIC, note book
• SEWING MACHINE OPTIONAL   Handy for speeding up the sewing process. (Please bring instruction book and machine must be in good working
order)
