The Orange Tree Cushion

We are delighted to welcome Lynette all the way from Australia. We will have a large selection of her patterns and notions available to buy in the shop during her visit. Its Summer in the garden, the flowers are in bloom and the orange tree is full of fruit just waiting to be picked.Felix the cat is having a lazy afternoon sleeping in the sun. To compliment the fabric from ‘Secret Garden’ a fabric line that Lynette designed, she has combined some simple applique and stitchery to create this lovely scene, what better way to finish it off than with one of her specially designed handpainted wheelbarrow buttons. During the workshop we will focus on the hand sewing, she will demonstrate how she needleturns the applique shapes and for those of you new to embroidery she will show you how to do the simple stitches that she uses to create these wonderful designs.
