Lino Print Embellishing

For this workshop there will be a selection of pre-printed designs in different colours & on different fabrics for you to choose from. The prints cost £3.00 each & you can buy as many as you like. They can be embellished with fabric, threads, buttons…..whatever you fancy! You can bring your own embellishments & materials to use & Louise will also have a range of materials which can be purchased on the day at a small cost. There will be lots of samples, reference & inspiration to get you started.
Requirements:

Basic sewing kit
Light weight iron-on interfacing (to back your print)
You can use a variety of items to embellish your print, here’s a list of suggestions:-
Felt
Fabric scraps – plain or patterned
Ribbon/lace
Threads & yarns – all thickness’s
Beads
Buttons
& anything else you want to bring along!
Also handy:-
Bond-a-web/freezer paper
Pencil
Disappearing fabric pen
Sewing Machine:-
You’re very welcome to use your sewing machine to add details & embellishments too. It’s not very often that you will finish your embellished print on the workshop but if you do, you will need a sewing machine to make your panel into a hanging.
Louise will have a selection of felt, threads & embellishments available to purchase from her on the day.
