LindyLou goes Kantha

After seeing Tricia Warman’s amazing Blue Kantha style quilt at Cowslip back in 2012, LindyLou a retired teacher, has immersed herself in all things India, Indigo and Kantha. She is now taking up the Kantha mantle and continuing the work of Tricia, albeit in her own way. Come and stitch a small Kantha Sampler, on Indian Turban cotton provided by LL, and learn about this amazing Folk Art. You may like to bring a piece of well washed and worn, coloured or patterned cotton for your middle layer. LL will have templates of images and shapes you can use and ideas of what you can make your Sampler into when it is finished – small bookcover, Kindle case, phone or glasses case, etc.
Student requirements
All you need to bring is a fine Needle, some of your favourite coloured threads (stranded works well), scissors, a pencil and rubber.
