Hens & Hearts Quilt

Make this stunning Hens & Hearts quilt (60in x 60in) using simple techniques. During class we will make some chicken blocks, some heart blocks and the basket block.  I doubt we will get to assembling the quilt but you never know!  Come and have a fun day sewing. Rotary cutting and machine piecing.

Requirements
Sewing machine with a couple of full bobbins
Usual sewing kit
Rotary cutting equipment
Hens & Hearts Quilt Fabric Requirements
Six fat eighths (9in x 22in) for the chicken blocks
Six fat eighths (9in x 22in) for the heart blocks
One fat eighth (9in x 22in) for the basket block
One red fat eighth for the chicken beaks
2 yards (1.75m) background fabric
30in (75cms) outer border fabric
½yard (50cms) binding fabric
Fat eighths give more variety but you can of course use three fat quarters for the chicken blocks and three fat quarters for the heart blocks
On the day we will make some of our chicken blocks and heart blocks and hopefully our basket block.  I doubt if we will get round to assembling the quilt although …… you never know!
