Cosy Quilt

There is still time for cool evenings and to snuggle up under a flannel or brushed cotton quilt is so comforting, you can just stick to squares and triangles or layer up your fabrics and cut 9 stars all in one go, you then shuffle the colours around and piece back together again,  we have then appliqued hares and hearts to give an added dimension, then quilt with large perle stitches.
 Students requirements

10 fat quarters of background flannels / brushed cotton for stars
Piece of fabric for appliqué hares and moon.
Basic sewing kit including rotary cutting equipment if you have available
Matching threads for piecing and possibly perle for quilting
Sewing machine  in good working order and instructions manual and ¼” foot
