Cleft Gate Hurdles

Join woodsman Tom Kemp and make your own Mini Gate Hurdle for your garden. Using coppice grown Ash, Sweet Chestnut, and Hazel you will learn the skills of cleaving, mortising and tenoning with traditional green wood working tools and have a hurdle crafted by your own hands to take home at the end of the day. A £26 material charge will be payable to Tom on the day, this will cover all you materials and tool usage on the day.
 
Tom will provide everything you need to build your hurdle but wear something you don’t mind getting wood shavings on.
