A Table setting
Straight from Mandy’s new book, The Christmas table. These fast and fun table mats and serviette rings are a must for your celebrations. They are perfect for using up all your scraps and the centre can be made using an applique or a little piece of Redwork. The workshop will include wool thread machine applique demonstrations and redwork techniques

You will need
For one place mat
8 ins square of white fabric
Scraps of cotton Christmas fabrics approx. 5 x 42 ins strips
14 ins square of wadding
14 x 16 backing fabric
50 ins narrow piping cord
Embroidery threads
8-inch square of fusible webbing
Fabric scraps of red, green, beige, brown, off white, or yellow, depending on the design you choose
You will need to bring.
Sewing machine plus a piping foot (optional)and an applique foot.
Hand sewing kit
Serviette rings
You will need:
6 ins of bag handle tape
1 plastic dome (available to purchase on the day)
5 inches of wadding and white linen
Red embroidery thread
Please bring with you a hand sewing kit
