Christmas Quilts & Wallhangings – Jo Colwill

I have a new quilt in the making called “Dancing with Stars” which carries on my Scandinavian theme, this workshop will also include my original Ginger bread men in a snowy scene from Norway and other Christmas quilts. You can use my designs as they are or adapt them using needle turn or bondaweb appliqué. Another option is to take the ginger bread men and log cabin quilt we are working on at the moment. A nice relaxing day without being too mega a project!
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Snow-themed fabric for background 21″x25″ (53.3cm x 63.5cm)
Two fat quarters of different snow fabrics for hills & snow drift
Music themed fat quarter
Brown print fabric for reindeer 12″ (30cm) square
Silvery blue fabric for frozen pond 7″x24″ (17.8cm x61cm)
Fabric scraps in greens, browns, tans, grey, reds, blues, pale pinks and snow print
Red patterned & white ric-rac
Silver & black hand and machine quilting thread & sranded embroidery cotton in white, dark brown and hair colours of your choice
Short length of hessian or garden twine for hanging
Backing fabric 26″ (66cm) square
Thin wadding 24″ (61cm) square
Pigma fine permanent fabric pen in brown
Embellishments – mini buttons etc… 
Sewing machine in good working order with manual
Basic sewing kit including sharp small sissors & applique needles
Bondaweb 
If wishing to make ‘Dancing with Stars’ you will need 1m of starry night fabric and 1m of trees or background type fabric plus scrap bag for houses, trees and reindeer

We have a well stocked shop and a scrap bag in the workshop so don’t worry if you can’t find everything!
