Chick Chick Chickens

 
Using freezer paper and stacking and shuffling we end up with a whole roost of chickens, that make up into a charming fun quilt.  With Easter upon us let’s hope they start laying some eggs! Any child would love a quilt like this one… a great fun quilt. The quilt can be just four blocks for a wallhanging or more blocks to make a bigger quilt.
 
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Basic sewing kit including scissors, threads to match, pins, etc
Rotary cutting equipment with new cutting blade
Sewing machine in good working order, with instruction book
At least 4 toning fat q’s for the chickens body/wings and background, more if you would like more than 4 blocks. Sue used 9 fat q’s in her quilt
A yellow/goldish fat Q for the wattle and beak
If you would like to have a border you need approx .75cms for 4 block border or 1 – 2m for a larger quilt
You can always add as you go along. Sue brings the pattern and freezer paper
