In this workshop you will learn how to make the triangle in a square block easily and accurately using the Two Peaks in One Ruler by Creative Grids. We will be making the quilt Flower Power on the right of the picture but you will leave the workshop confident and feeling inspired to create your own unique quilts.  The workshop includes a Pattern Booklet by Pam & Nicky Lintott which has patterns for all three of the above quilts.

You will need to have the Two Peaks in One Ruler by Creative Grids for the workshop and Jo has them in the shop. This is definitely a ruler you will not regret buying – the design possibilities are endless. I will have a couple available on the day to use.

I will bring other quilts with me to show how the illusion of curves can be created using this block and also quilts using half-rectangles which can be easily made using this ruler – I did say the design possibilities are endless.

Fabric requirements for the Flower Power quilt (49in x 67in):

• 4 assorted ½ metres for the flowers (we used a selection of Kaffe Fasset fabrics)

• 4 assorted ½ metres for the background OR 2m if you want to use the same background fabric throughout.
• ½m border fabric (not needed on day)
• binding is included in the ½ metres.
