Appliquéd Wool with Tonja Gressley
Tonja Gressley-Steele, owner of Blackberry Primitives, has been part of the textile industry for 24 years. She loves combining hand-dyed wools, linens, and antique textiles in her wool appliqué designs. Drawing from antique pieces, Tonja creates distinctive color palettes that capture the spirit of the past. Stacy Nash and Tonja Gressley-Steele share a deep love of antique samplers and textiles. Through their travels and friendship, they’ve found a way to blend their individual textile mediums, coordinating projects that highlight both of their passions. With a mutual love of color, antique design, and fabric, they have come together to create timeless projects. Both of their inspiration begins with the 1834 sampler created by Eliza Burgess. Tonja has designed a project rooted in her beautiful work. This picture is a sneak preview of the unique project designed for Cowslip.
And because we couldn’t resist… we’ve dreamed up something truly special for those of you joining both of our classes. It’s a one-of-a-kind companion piece—exclusive, unexpected, and inspired straight from Eliza’s sampler.
Price includes kit and lunch.
