I bought an old Quilt  from Donna Flower at a Christmas Fayre, it was made in 1806 possibly to celebrate a brith , I loved the design and the fabrics it also had wool wadding so I decided to reproduce the quilt using Howard marcus Collection for a Cause, I have had in the back of my mind for ages that I should amke it again in new colours and the new Moda Betsy Chuttchen semas to fit the bill!
The middle block is hand applique followed by several machine pieced square borders, you could eliminate some of the border or just use a nice pattern of the fabricif you do not fancy so much piecing but I love the overall effect.  Sandy chandler then quilted it using wool wadding and the effect is great.
