This pattern designed by Jo Colwill for this Single Irish Chain Quilt is a lovely quilt to make combining  a 4″ pieced block with a plain 4″ calico block between, it can be used as a gentle pastel baby quilt or more bold for a baby boy using the fox fabric. The size of the quilt can be made larger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the number of blocks.  The quilt would also make  a lovely vintage bed quilt, Single Irish Chain is such a simple but effect quilt design.  
 
Suitable for beginners and intermediate it is finished off with hand quilting using a perle thread.

1m 42” Calico
10 Fat 1/8ths in mixed pinks or blues
1m Border Fabric
1.5m Backing Fabric – Backing needs to measure 49” by 56”
Cotton Wadding 49” x 56”
1 x Ecru Thread for Piecing
1 x Pale Pink or Blue Perle Quilting thread
