Pottery Painting

Come and join local potter Michael Taylor for a pottery painting session.  Choose from a variety of blank pieces to paint, whether a jug, bowl or a pig!!  Then adorn and paint in your chosen style, flowers, spots, swirls or more.
There will be a range of blank pottery (bisque) items to choose from: plates, bowls, mugs, jugs, tiles, etc. Prices range from £6.00 to over £30, this is in addition to the workshop fee.  You will be given a palette of colours, the paints are water-based and non-toxic. You will be able to decorate your item using brushes, sponges, (create your own stencils) and special ceramic pencils – all provided.
It will take 5-7 days to fire your decorated piece. We will glaze and fire your finished pottery with a shiny clear glaze. We fire to 1260°c, this makes the clay really hard and durable and fuses your painting onto the pottery permanently.
