Beginners Appliqué – Jo Colwill

There are several different ways to do applique. My favorite is hand needleturned applique, but you can also use bonded applique or raw edge. I will demonstrate all aspects and you will make a good start on a simple spring flower or children’s type quilt.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Basic sewing kit rotary cutting equipment if available.
Working sewing machine in good order with attachments and instruction manual
Scrap bag or 6 toning fat quarters for appliqué.
Matching threads for piecing and fine cotton thread for appliqué.
Gold eye number 12 needles for appliqué work, one is provided on the day.
Small sharp scissors if available.
