Embroidered Birds – Sarah Perry

Create finely embroidered Birds to embellish your quilt or frame as a picture.
Capture the shading and colours of those beautiful birds in your garden and make a flat embroidery.
It is a long process but you will learn shading, shaping and stitching, transferring images and feature details.
Come along and enjoy a day of pure hand stitching.
 
 Students requirements
·      2 Pictures of your chosen bird the size you want it to be
·      Embroidery hoop
·      Stranded embroidery threads
·      Quilt or fabric for bird to be worked on
·      Basic sewing kit
·      Fine tip pencil
