Going Oriental – Mandy Pattullo

Blue and white will be the theme of the day with oriental ceramics, flowers and pattern providing the inspiration. You will be given an interesting foundation fabric to work on , a piece of cloth painted and dyed by Mandy herself, and then build up your picture using  stamping, transfers, bonding and embroidery to create a  unique piece of art that can be wrapped round a canvas and hung on the wall.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS
Sewing kit – scissors, pins, needles
Fabric-  please bring a range of blues, blue and white, blue and cream prints and plains. These fabrics should be patchwork cotton weight. Charm packs fine.
Bondaweb – 1/4 metre of bondaweb
Embroidery threads. Stranded embroidery threads, coton a broder or perle in a range of blues, white and cream.
