Make a Pleated Lampshade – Gillian Goodman

Make a beautiful softly pleated lampshade in the fabric of your choice.
Learn how to bind the lampshade frame, pleat and hand stitch the fabric to the frame and insert a pleated lining.
Basic sewing skills and patience are all that is required.
You can choose to make a 10” or 12” lampshade.
You will be able to buy on the day a lampshade frame, binding tape and lining for a 10” shade at £10 or a 12” shade at £12.
Students requirements
·       70cm Light weight cotton fabric (quilting fabrics are perfect)
·       Matching thread
·       Plenty of glass headed pins
·       Needle
·       Thimble
·       Pencil
·       Scissors
·       Long ruler
