Embroidered Garden or 3D Picture Birds

“I love the birds in my garden and each time a different species comes along I add it to my patchwork garden.”
Why not bring your patchwork background along and spend 2 days of relaxing hand sewing adding a garden bird, or two, to your own beautiful background.
These can be raised or flat and can be labeled (Sarah will bring her old typewriter with her)
Or create just a life like picture of your chosen bird.

Student requirements

Images of the garden birds at the size you want them
Patchwork or quilted background fabric or a piece of plain linen 
Calico
4 and 6 inch embroidery hoop
Stranded embroidery threads in appropriate colours
Basic sewing kit to include fine sewing needles, scissors, thimble etc
Small amount of cotton or wool wadding
Fabric transfer pen or pencil
