Hand Embroidery: from inspiration to stitch
Workshop Information
In this workshop Caroline will show you how to work your way from an original idea – perhaps a favourite part of your garden or a view you encounter on a regular walk – to creating an embroidery. You will use little paint swatches, sketches, fragments of fabric and snippets of thread to create a palette or mini-mood board, before starting to stitch your original design. This course is aimed at people who have perhaps stitched a few kits and now want to move off-piste and develop their own ideas.
This course includes the basic materials, though there may be some extra fragments of inspiration available for sale on the day.
