Seed Heads, Grasses and Flowers

Come and create a unique piece of flora inspired textile art using appliqué and free motion embroidery. Bring some photos for inspiration or alternatively use samples and photos of mine to inspire you.
I will guide you through each stage of the process from creating your own unique background to adding your chosen flora.
Finish your piece off with a few beads, buttons or a bit of hand embroidery.
The piece itself will measure 35cm x 25cm
I will provide the following at a cost of £10 per person
~ Large selection of fabrics and embellishments
~ Piece of tarlatan scrim backing fabric to stitch your design onto
~ Basic white mount to use whilst creating your piece
You will need to bring,
~ Sewing machine with instruction booklet if possible
~ Compatible darning/free motion embroidery foot
~ General sewing kit to include fabric scissors, small embroidery scissors, hand sewing needles and size 10 beading needles
~ Frixion pen 0.7mm
~ Selection of hand embroidery threads
~ Selection of machine threads either embroidery or sew all threads
~ Reel of invisible thread suitable for use in a sewing machine (I would recommend either Monopoly or Gutermann)
~ Reel of white bobbin thread
I will have a variety of threads available to use if needed.
