A Fishy Story

Beautiful seaweed shapes against a watery backdrop of dyed and layered fabrics . Some appliqué
fishes/marine life will bring the scene to life. Learn my approach to building a fabric picture
through being inspired by fabric and colour and a little bit of design. A most enjoyable way to use
odds and ends of fabric and dyeing samples creatively.
Templates will be available or can be made on the day for those nervous of drawing.
Student requirements:
Sewing Machine
A selection of fabrics and off-cuts/scrap-bag materials.
Scissors
Basic Sewing kit
Coloured sewing threads
Reference photos
Some Bondaweb or Heatbond (also available in the Cowslip Shop).
