Drawing the Seasons

In this day workshop we will be making drawings around the farm and collecting them into a Japanese bound book. Drawing around the farm, gathering plants and natural finds… a jam jar of Spring flowers….a view through a hedge….seasonal drawing following the cycle of the year to focus the attention and calm the mind. You will produce a collection of drawings and material experiments and gather them together into a handmade book, that is both a record of the workshop and your drawing discoveries, and a rich resource you can use to spark further projects.
To Bring:
•A4 or A5 paper – cartridge of a decent thickness for wet materials (at least 10 sheets, or a sketchbook with removable pages)
•Pencil case with pencils for drawing, sharpener, rubber
•Biros/pens
•Colour media eg:watercolour and brush, or coloured pens/pencils, or pastels (anything to bring colour)
•Candle, or oil pastels (if you have)
