Drawing Exploring Cowslip

In this workshop & walk, Karen will share how to make a simple working sketchbook to gather your drawings in. We will wander around the farm, noticing details and enjoying the textures, patterns and shapes. Karen will guide you in simple drawing exercises to explore the atmosphere and feel of Cowslip through the drawing process. You will come away with a sketchbook packed with drawing experiments, a rich source of new ways of drawing and looking that you can use on your travels or everyday drawing adventures! To Bring: • Something to sit on, drinks bottle, dress for the weather, walk shoes • Selection of Papers at least A4 size to make into your sketchbook when folded (these can include old envelopes, coloured paper, brown paper, whatever appeals) some plain white cartridge thick enough to take watercolour. (Papers can be all different sizes)• Pencil case with drawing materials • Coloured materials eg: watercolour or coloured pencils/ oil pastels • Tutor will bring graphite sticks, oil pastels and other media you may borrow for the day. • Please note: there will be some walking on uneven ground
