Pattern Cutting with Dina Hall

Workshop Information

Price: £88.00

Learn the basics of flat pattern drafting and construction by making a basic bodice block to your own or a friends measurements. You will then cut and fit a toile in calico and do any alterations required to your block.  Once this has been done you will discover how to cut different designs from it, this could involve pleats, gathers, pintucks, pockets or any other ideas you would like to try.  Dina trained in Fashion and after leaving college gained a place at Harrods as a trainee buyer, her first theatre job was in 1978 as a Wardrobe Assistant at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. She then went on to work as a freelance costume maker in Bath for 6 years where she made costumes for films, television and theatre. Until last April she was Head of Wardrobe at the Theatre Royal Plymouth for 21.5 years. Dina now works as a freelance costume maker for English National Opera.
