Christmas Mayhem Garland – Mandy Shaw

An easy felt or fabric garland, made with Mandy’s trademark  freezer paper technique, that is festooned with Christmas characters of your choice. Choose from  reindeers , gingerbread men, gnomes, trees, polar bears and more. This is an easy project and can be added to over the years. Suitable for all abilities.
Student Requirements
·       ·  1 meter of fabric to make a shaggy wreath; this can be recycled check shirts, calico, sheeting or any dress weight fabric. Printed fabric with a white    background will affect the overall colour scheme of the wreath, it will lighten it.
·       ·  12 x 24 ins green felt for felt wreath.
·       ·  Scraps of white, brown, red, yellow and green felt.
·       ·  Bag of stuffing.
·       ·  Embroidery threads: red, green and black.
·       ·  1 mt Narrow ric rac.
·       ·  1 mt Gingham ribbon.
·       ·  Small beads and button and bells to co ordinate.
·       ·  Scrap of fusible webbing ie; Bondaweb or the like.
·       ·  1⁄2 metre freezer paper.
·       ·  Sewing machine, feet and lead!
·       ·  Hand sewing kit.
·       ·  Glue gun and sticks (optional)
